Facebook Marketing – The Seductive Power

Facebook MarketingFacebook insider document reveals that they are going to show less and less of the things you post. In Facebook speak, it’s called your Organic reach. Why? They want you to start paying.

Facebook seduced and enticed us all with it’s free services and now that we are hooked they are going to be implementing more and more fees for using it’s services.

Too many businesses started to rely on Facebook to market their products and services because it was free, now they have to rethink their strategy because of the fees Facebook is starting to charge.

A reminder, only about 16% of what you post gets seen by your contacts. And Facebook says it plans to reduce this number even further. From a business point of view if you want to take advantage of the many marketing opportunities Facebook has to offer, you will have to pay.

For those of you who pay attention to what I have to say, I’ve been preaching for years that you should make it a TOP PRIORITY to build you own databases, (email, text, home addresses). This is one of the most important things you can for your business in 2014.

You need to build your own marketing assets, instead of relying on all the social media shiny objects. One of your Facebook marketing objectives should be to get at least the email address of all your likes and friends.

I predict that in the near future, the other social media sites will follow the Facebook business model, so we can’t all run over to Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram or the latest one Snapchat.
